The Prodigal Planet (1983)

The Prodigal Planet is a 1983 film by Russell S. Doughten and directed by Donald W. Thompson. It is the fourth in a series of at least five films (one still in production) based on an evangelical interpretation of Bible prophecy and the rise of the Antichrist.

During the final years of the Antichrist's reign, a nuclear war has devastated the earth. The Antichrist and his world government find their grip on power slowly slipping away as Christ's return draws near. One of the lead characters from the previous film, David Michaels is now part of a growing underground movement of Christian believers trying to stay out of the government's hands and thus escape execution.

Image of the Beast (1980)

Image of the Beast — Part 3 in the Rapture Series ("Thief in the Night")  The film picks up where A Distant Thunder left off. Patty Myers (played by Patty Dunning) is faced with the decision to either accept the mark of the beast or lose her head. Nearby, a woman named Kathy and David Michaels have just escaped a government detention center during the earthquake along with Kathy's young son Billy, and another woman named Leslie.

The group evades the soldiers of the government, called UNITE (United Nations Imperium for Total Emergency). Kathy, David, and Billy become separated from Leslie (with whom David reunites later) when a UNITE soldier shoots her below the shoulder, and David leaves her lying on the ground because she appears to be dead. The trio eventually meets up with the Rev. Matthew Turner. By this time Rev. Turner's church has been forced to close by the government, and he is living underground as a survivalist.

Kathy and David attempt to use their knowledge of computers to create a fake "mark of the beast" which will allow them to move about freely in society; David rationalizes this by saying they are not taking the real mark

A Distant Thunder (1978)

A Distant Thunder — Part 2 in the Rapture Series ("Thief in the Night")  Dramatically presents the Seal Judgments of Revelation, the importance of Christ's redemption, and the cost of discipleship during persecution. This second film in the series continues the story of Patty who is left living as a fugitive, relentlessly pursued and finally captured by the forces of UNITE, she is given a choice: either receive "the Mark" or face death.

A Thief in the Night (1972)

A Thief in the Night is a 1972 Christian end times film produced by Russell S. Doughten. It is the first and best known film in Doughten's four-part series on the Rapture and Second Coming of Christ. The films together are often referred to collectively as the "Thief" or "Rapture" series.

This film includes Larry Norman's composition I Wish We'd All Been Ready, one of the earliest Christian rock hits and one of Norman's best-known releases.

A Thief in the Night has been seen by an estimated 300 million people worldwide. It was a pioneer in the genre of Christian film, bringing rock music and elements of horror films to a genre then dominated by family-friendly evangelism. A quarter century later, the authors of the broadly successful Left Behind series of books and films have acknowledged their debt to "Thief". Indeed, even the title "Left Behind" echoes the refrain of Norman's theme music for A Thief in the Night.

The Miracle Worker (1962)

The Miracle Worker is a mesmerizingly beautiful film.

Starring in what is quite possibly the most moving double performance ever recorded on film, Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke are remarkable in their Oscar®-winning portrayals of Annie and Helen.

Ennobling and uplifting, this inspirational story of courage and hope is one of the finest works of art in the history of motion pictures. Locked in a frightening, lonely world of silence and darkness since infancy, 7-year-old Helen Keller has never seen the sky, heard her mother's voice or expressed her innermost feelings. Then Annie Sullivan, a 20-year-old teacher from Boston, arrives. Having just recently regained her own sight, the no-nonsense Annie reaches out to Helen through the power of touch, the only tool they have in common and leads her bold pupil on a miraculous journey from fear and isolation to happiness and light.

Waterproof (2000)

NEW! A dramatic journey of restoration and salvation. Starring: Burt Reynolds

In this dramatic journey of restoration and salvation, we witness the cruel realities in both the rough streets of Washington, D.C. and the sleepy rural town of Waterproof, Louisiana. Single mother, Tyree Battle (April Grace) struggles to keep her young son, Thaniel (Cordereau Dye) away from the gang-plagued city streets that he is mixed up in. Under severe gang pressure, Thaniel accidentally shoots Jewish shopkeeper Eli Zeal (Burt Reynolds) in a botched robbery attempt. Tyree, protecting her son from the law, kidnaps Eli and flees to her hometown of Waterproof that she has been estranged from for fifteen years, having left behind her long-suffering mother (Ja'net Dubois), her hard drinking older brother Big (the late Anthony Lee) and her slow-minded younger brother Natty (Orlando Jones).

Wounded and slowly recovering, Eli initially struggles with his forced captivity, but soon finds an understanding in the power of forgiveness. He begins to break down racial barriers by fitting in with the African American family that has taken him in - especially with Grandpa Sugar, (the late Whitman Mayo) the charmingly wise family patriarch.

The irrepressible faith of Tyree's mother is the glue that ultimately holds the family together as she welcomes back her 'prodigal daughter' with open arms. When Thaniel innocently looks at a portrait of Jesus and asks, "Who's the white dude?" she realizes how desperately her daughter and grandson need her guidance to submit to Christ.

The unplanned family reunion causes the entire family to confront their own deeply buried secret that eventually brings about an emotional and spiritual rebirth for all with the help of Eli.

Anyone who has ever struggled with faith will identify with this film. You'll want to stand up and cheer when a lost loved one comes home and overcomes internal struggles that help them make their way to the altar.

Israel & The Church (2010)

What are God's plans and future purposes for the nation of Israel? Many Christians believe He has none; they believe that the church has replaced Israel in God's agenda for the world. Yet others believe that Israel plays a distinct and vital role which will find its ultimate fulfillment when Christ returns to establish his millennial reign, ruling over the nations from His throne in Jerusalem.

In chapters nine through eleven of the book of Romans, Paul the apostle makes it clear that God's dealings with the Jewish people are by no means finished. How then are we to understand God's intentions for both national Israel and the church? What promises belong exclusively to Israel? What promises has He given to all who call Jesus their Lord and Savior—to people of every nation, tribe, and tongue who in Christ have become “one new man”? And how are we, as believers, to understand and reflect God's love for Jews and Gentiles alike?

Join Mart DeHaan in a thought-provoking interview with Dr. Michael Rydelnik, professor of Jewish studies. From atop a high wall in Jerusalem, this Day of Discovery DVD gives you a sweeping view of the Holy City—and insights into God's heart and plans regarding Israel, His church, and the whole world.

Israel & The Politics of Faith (2010)

In 1948, the United Nations established the new state of Israel. Many people believe this act marked the beginning of God’s end-times plan. If Israel’s statehood is the direct fulfillment of promises and prophecies found in the Bible, should followers of Christ stand with the nation while waiting for the Messiah to return? Travel to this global hot spot and learn more about what happens when faith and politics collide.

What kind of kingdom did Jesus come to establish? In the land of the Bible, where He once walked, political and ethnic conflict is still a part of everyday life. What happened to Jesus’ mission to bring peace to the world? Meet Christians of both Arab and Jewish descent. Hear what they have come to believe about the true kingdom of God.

Israel: Crossroads of Eternity (2010)

Join Mart DeHaan as he takes you through the Holy Land showing you how strategically positioned Israel is, and how since the days of Abraham, this hotly contested piece of real estate has remained at the forefront of world events.

What is it that God sees in this land and its people? Why does Israel draw media attention and travelers from all over the world? What is God revealing in this land? The Day of Discovery team answers these questions to find Israel at the crossroads of eternity.

In this Day of Discovery DVD, Mart De Haan unlocks the confusion and opens the door to a better understanding of these predictions. Using the book of Matthew, he explains how to understand Old Testament passages that appear vague or appear to be simply historical references. Find out what Jesus meant when He said He came to fulfill both the law and the prophets.

Join us as we walk through the city of Jerusalem, along the banks of the Jordan River, and down the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee. Together, we'll discover God's ultimate plan of rescue for Israel and the world through Jesus - the Messiah.

Finding Faith (2013)

Finding Faith is based on a compilation of actual events that Sheriff Mike Brown has investigated through his Internet Crimes Against Children task force. In a recent Safe Surfin’ Foundation Public Service Announcement, one such victim courageously told the story of how she was abducted by a child predator and how she remained captive for three days before being rescued by the police.

She was last seen near her home in rural Virginia. The last contact her family had with her was seeing her walk down their driveway talking on her cell phone. The victim was met at the end of the driveway by two people who forced her into a pick-up truck at knife point. She was abducted and held hostage until police rescued her in Pittsburgh, PA.

Michael Brown, Sheriff of Bedford County, Virginia, explains, “This abduction occurred through the use of a cell phone and the new technology allowing kids to chat via these new smart phones.” The victim had been texting and chatting for several weeks by cell phone with someone she believed to be a 16 year-old boy. She felt the relationship was innocent and frequently chatted with the boy about normal teenage troubles. But the person she was chatting with was not really 16; he was actually a 38-year old man who disguised himself as the boy. He and a female companion drove over 400 miles from his home in Pittsburgh to abduct their victim.

Magdalena: Through Her Eyes (2006)

One woman caught in the scandalous act of adultery; another, rejected and ignored because of her promiscuous lifestyle; another, shunned for 12 years because of a shameful condition; a widow, cast out from society, mourning the loss of her only son. An ugly thread of shame, sorrow and hopelessness painfully weaves its way through the lives of each of these women.

After following Jesus for three years, Mary Magdalene observed all these things and more. She also witnessed changed lives, miracles, and the results of restored hope. Watching in amazement, Mary learned from Jesus a new way to look at people. He also radically transformed her life by healing her from demon possession--releasing her from shame.

Mary Magdalene acts as both narrator and participant in Magdalena: Through Her Eyes, as she traces through the story of lives that have come into contact with this man, Jesus, and have been powerfully released from shame.
