Adicciones (2010)

 

Generally, most people seem to ignore the problem of an addiction. The mentality is that if the addict really wants to, they can get rid of their addiction. Although many will cover addicts in prayer in hopes that they will find healing, most do not take the time to try to understand the depth of hopelessness an addiction brings into a life.
Addiction is a condition in which the body requires a substance to avoid symptoms that cause severe physical and psychological illness. The addict creates a dependency on the substance, which eventually dominates his or her life. Their body develops a tolerance to the drug, causing them to crave more and more of the substance in order to get the previous effects.
Adicciones shows that as Christians, we can more fully understand the needs of the individual addict as well as find ways to help them overcome their addictions. It is our hope that you are able to find useful information that will help you more clearly see the world of the addict, and that in the process you are led to an encounter with the Lord Jesus. He welcomes the broken with open arms to His church where they can be released from the bondage of their addiction.
